Foods and Medicines to Avoid if You Have Gerd or Hyperacidity

The above list is not complete so you have to do your own research. I’m a GERD sufferer that’s why I want to share the things that helped me with this condition. Avoid the foods that would trigger GERD. Take vitamin B and C. You can also try organic barley grass. You can buy the barley grass from IAM Global, Sante Barley, Salveo Barley Grass . I prefer the Salveo Barley Grass because it’s cheaper and it’s pure organic barley. You’ll see great result after 2 weeks of continuous use.
I find it very effective if I take barley grass 30 minutes before meal. 1-2 scoops mixed in small amount of water. If you buy the Salveo Barley Grass, you’ll get a free scoop with your purchase plus great discount if you become a member but becoming a member is not required. I’m just sharing it to you just in case you find it effective, you can just avail their membership to save money. But if you haven’t tried it yet, just buy their trial pack, it’s cheaper than the barley grass from IAM and sante barley.
I use to buy the sante barley gras from mercury drug store but I switched to salveo barley grass because it’s cheaper and it’s also pure organic.
Living with GERD is not easy. You have to deal with stomach bloating, dizziness, nausea, stomach cramps, balance problem, a burning sensation in your chest (heartburn), difficulty swallowing, body aches, regurgitation of food, sour liquid, chest pain, anxiety, short of breath, sensation of lump in your throat, etc. If you have gerd, it’s difficult to enjoy delicious foods. Medicine doesn’t always work so you’ll have to find the things that can help you bring relief since there is no permanent treatment with GERD.

Other things that you can do to get relief from GERD is to drink large glass of water (room temperature or slightly warm water). Drink raw potato juice. Do not lie down immediately after drinking or eating. Lose weight and maintain a healthy diet. The pressure of extra weight causes heartburn more frequently. Do not wear thight clothing around the waist. Eat more raw vegetables, chew your food well and eat slowly. Some say that chewing sugar free peppermint gum can help bring relief.
